Wednesday afternoon I visited the Urologist. If the ER visit was K3.1 this was K3.2. The doctor was calming, patient, and answered all my questions. Well, almost. The most important question was how to resolve the stone and he admitted that the next step would involve “game day decisions.” Uh oh. There was nothing he could do at the office except confirm the location of the stone via another CT scan. Yup. It hadn’t moved at all. The best course of action would be surgery and he could fit me in the next day. He would go in through the pee hole (cringe), have a “look see” with a scope. Grab the stone if possible. Laser it if necessary, and hope to have me on the road to recovery. All this would happen while I was asleep. OK, you can do anything to me while I sleep. I really don’t care. Just let me sleep. I was on board.
